Focus Mu is a minimal Pomodoro focus timer developed by Dojoism. This Privacy Policy explains how Focus Mu handles information when you create tasks, use focus and rest timers, change settings, choose a language, and export your records.
Overview
Focus Mu helps you run focus and rest sessions, manage a simple task list, and export task records. The app is designed to work without an account, without sync, without social features, without advertising, without tracking analytics, and without a Dojoism server for your tasks or timer records.
Information We Collect
Focus Mu does not collect personal data from you through a Dojoism account or server. Task and timer information you enter or configure is stored locally on your device by default. Dojoism does not operate an account system, analytics system, advertising system, profiling system, sync backend, or server database for Focus Mu records.
Task and Timer Data You Enter
You may choose to enter task titles and manage task status such as active, completed, archived, or restored. Focus Mu also stores timer settings such as focus duration, rest duration, current timer mode, and language choice. This information is used only to provide the app's timer, task list, archive, language, and export features.
Local Storage
Focus Mu stores task records and app settings locally on your device using Apple system storage, including UserDefaults. This data survives app restarts and remains under your control on your device.
Export
Focus Mu can export task records as JSON or plain text from Settings. Exported text is created only when you choose to export. After export, the destination you choose, such as Files, Mail, Messages, or another app, controls how that exported copy is handled.
Accounts and Sync
Focus Mu does not require a Dojoism account and does not provide app sync in the current version. Your task and timer records are not uploaded to Dojoism.
Notifications
The current version of Focus Mu does not use push notification servers. A future version may add optional local session alerts or haptic feedback. If privacy-impacting behavior changes, this Privacy Policy will be updated.
Purchases
The current Focus Mu project includes placeholder copy for a possible lifetime unlock and trial model. If a future version adds real in-app purchases, payments would be handled by Apple through the App Store and this Privacy Policy will be updated if needed.
Third-Party Services
Focus Mu does not use third-party advertising SDKs, tracking SDKs, profiling analytics, or data broker services. App distribution is handled by Apple through the App Store according to Apple's terms and privacy policies.
Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data. Because Focus Mu does not collect your task or timer records on a Dojoism server, we cannot share those records with advertisers, data brokers, or other third parties.
Data Retention and Deletion
Your Focus Mu records remain on your device until you edit tasks, delete tasks, export records, or delete the app. Deleting the app may remove locally stored app data from your device, subject to Apple's system behavior and device backups.
Children's Privacy
Focus Mu is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
International Users
Focus Mu includes multiple built-in languages and can be used in different regions. App data is designed to remain local on your device unless you manually export or share it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, when appropriate, provide notice in the app or on our website.
