WhoBook is a privacy-first personal relationship memory app. WhoBook does not require an account, does not use third-party analytics, does not use advertising SDKs, and does not use a developer-owned server for your relationship notes.
Overview
WhoBook stores your people, voice notes, transcripts, relationship notes, reminders, relationship graph data, and settings locally on your device by default. If you enable iCloud sync, syncing uses your private Apple iCloud account and CloudKit infrastructure. Dojoism does not operate a server that can read your WhoBook content.
Information We Collect
Dojoism does not collect your WhoBook people data, voice recordings, transcripts, photos, relationship notes, reminders, graph data, or app usage analytics through a Dojoism account or server.
Local App Data
WhoBook can store person profiles, names, photos, relationship tags, where you met, birthdays, interests, family details, notes, follow-up topics, interaction records, voice recording files, speech transcripts, relationship links, reminder preferences, Pro entitlement status, app lock settings, transcription language, and export files that you create.
Voice Recording and Speech Recognition
WhoBook requests microphone permission to record short voice notes. It requests Speech Recognition permission to transcribe those notes on device when available. The app is designed for on-device transcription and does not intentionally fall back to a Dojoism transcription server.
AI Features
WhoBook Pro may offer AI summaries, smart extraction, and next-time topic suggestions on supported devices with Apple Intelligence. These features use Apple's on-device Foundation Models when available. AI features require supported hardware and system software, and the app remains usable with manual notes and raw transcription when AI is unavailable.
Contacts, Photos, Face ID, and Notifications
WhoBook may request Contacts permission only when you choose to import contacts. It may request Photo Library permission when you choose profile photos. It may request Face ID or Touch ID for optional app lock. It may request Notifications permission for optional follow-up and birthday reminders. These permissions are controlled by iOS and can be changed in Settings.
iCloud Sync
WhoBook Pro can include optional iCloud sync. When enabled, sync uses your private iCloud account. Dojoism does not receive your iCloud database contents. Apple controls iCloud account, storage, and security according to Apple's terms and privacy policies.
Purchases
WhoBook Pro purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store and StoreKit. Apple may provide transaction and entitlement status needed to unlock Pro features. Dojoism does not receive your full payment card information from Apple.
Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your WhoBook relationship data with advertisers, data brokers, or third-party analytics providers. WhoBook does not include advertising SDKs or third-party behavioral analytics SDKs.
Export, Deletion, and Retention
Your WhoBook data remains on your device until you edit it, delete it, export it, remove the app, or enable iCloud sync. The app can export data when you choose to export. Exported files are controlled by the destination you select. The Delete All Data action removes local people, interactions, relationships, and recordings from that device.
Support Emails
If you contact support by email, your email address and the information you include in the email are handled by your email provider and Dojoism's email provider so we can respond. Do not include sensitive relationship notes in support emails unless you choose to share them.
Children's Privacy
WhoBook is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, when appropriate, provide notice in the app or on our website.
