Common questions

Quiet Write is for local-first Markdown writing: journals, drafts, essays, newsletters, and quiet daily notes. It is designed for one person writing without a publishing platform or account system.
Drafts are stored locally on your device first in the app's Application Support storage. If iCloud sync is enabled, Quiet Write mirrors the same library through Apple's iCloud Key-Value Store so your writing can continue across Apple devices.
Yes. Quiet Write has no custom account system. Optional iCloud sync uses your Apple iCloud account, not a Quiet Write account.
Quiet Write can import .md and .txt files. Imported files become drafts in your local library.
Yes. You can export a single draft as Markdown, share a draft from the editor, or export the full library as Markdown or a JSON backup from Settings.
No. Quiet Write does not include an AI writing pipeline, publishing service, team workspace, or custom server. It is a calm writing tool for your own words.
Quiet Write is designed around a one-time lifetime unlock. Purchases and restore purchase are handled by Apple through the App Store.
No. Quiet Write has no advertising, no tracking analytics, and no Dojoism server for your writing. Your drafts stay on your device unless you enable iCloud sync or choose to export/share them.
