Privacy Policy
This policy covers ControlDesk for macOS, developed by Lizzian LLC. ControlDesk is a tool for connecting to SSH servers you choose.
Data collected by the developer
ControlDesk has no developer account system, advertising, tracking SDK, analytics endpoint or developer-operated relay. The app does not transmit your connection library, terminal content, credentials, files or command history to Lizzian LLC.
What stays on your Mac
The app saves connection names, server addresses, ports, usernames, groups, favorites, snippets, trusted public server keys and app preferences in its sandbox. If you choose a private key, it saves a security-scoped bookmark to that file; it does not copy the private key into the connection library. Command bar history is off by default and is stored locally only if you enable it in Settings.
Passwords and private-key passphrases are used in memory during authentication. If you choose to save them, they are stored in your macOS Keychain, not in the connection library. Private keys imported from SSH configuration or restored from a backup may also be stored in the Keychain. Terminal scrollback is held in memory for the session. Remote files opened in the editor use temporary local copies inside the sandbox; those copies are removed when the editor closes normally. An unexpected crash may leave a temporary copy for macOS to manage. Downloads you deliberately save remain where you choose.
Encrypted backups
If you export a backup, it includes your connections, saved credentials, private keys, trusted server keys and snippets, encrypted with your chosen passphrase using PBKDF2-SHA256 and AES-256-GCM. The backup is saved to a location you choose and is not uploaded to Lizzian LLC. Keep the passphrase safe; we cannot recover it.
Connections to your servers
SSH and SFTP traffic goes directly to the server address you enter. That server receives the authentication information required by the selected method, terminal commands, monitoring commands, and files you choose to upload. Its operator may log activity under its own policy. ControlDesk verifies and pins server public keys after your explicit approval; you should verify new or changed fingerprints through a trusted channel.
The Network Check sends TCP connection attempts to the selected server and port. Live Linux metrics run fixed POSIX shell commands on your server; Python is not required. Neither feature sends results to Lizzian LLC.
Files and permissions
The sandbox grants access to files you select through macOS panels and private key bookmarks. ControlDesk requests outbound network access for server connections. It does not request contacts, camera, microphone or location access.
Your controls
Delete saved connections from the connection menu. Remove snippets in Snippets. Clear saved command history or forget trusted server keys in Settings. Remove a private-key bookmark by editing the connection. Turning off history stops future recording; use Clear Command History to remove previously saved commands. Files saved outside the app remain under your control. Removing the app may leave its sandbox container; contact support for instructions before removing app data manually.
Apple, this website and support
Apple may process purchases, downloads or optional operating-system diagnostics under Apple's policies. Visiting dojoism.com is separate from using the app; the site host processes normal web requests. If you email support, we receive your email address and the information you send, and use it to respond and troubleshoot. Do not send passwords, private keys or unredacted confidential logs.
Children and changes
ControlDesk is a general-purpose developer tool and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. We will update this page if app data practices change and revise the effective date.
